In late October CTA was pleased to host our Annual Research Managers’ Day, a site driven, in-person forum that continues to grow in popularity each year. In 2023 we were particularly pleased to see attendance from both CTA’s interstate and international Membership, with over 30 Research Managers and guest speakers coming together at the Sofitel in Melbourne.
The agenda was curated by experienced Research Managers Marian Lieschke and Heike Raunow, in partnership with CTA management, with a focus on pertinent issues to all clinical trial units.
The forum included discussion on site experiences with accreditation under the recently implemented National Clinical Trial Governance Framework, the importance of meaningful partnerships with consumers, the joys and pitfalls of new technologies, and progress with teletrial implementation. An open Q&A session rounded out the day, ensuring all attendees departed with new knowledge and renewed connections with peers.
CTA would like to thank all who attended and contributed to this successful day, particularly those who gave their valuable time to prepare for and present on the day.
Owing to the popularity of this event, we are looking to expand to a 2-day forum in 2024, with dedicated time set aside for our growing service Members, which now constitute 19 hospitals.
