Cancer Trials Australia (CTA) is proud to be part of the successful Cancer Council Victoria (CCV) grant application for the establishment of a cancer clinical trials network across seven hospitals in regional Victoria. This grant was provided by the CCV with support from the Victorian Government.

The Victorian Regional Cancer Clinical Trial Network (VRCCTN) was launched on 28th March at Border Medical Oncology (BMO) by CCV CEO, Todd Harper. In addition to BMO, other sites in the network include; Barwon Health, South West Oncology (Warrnambool), Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre, Goulburn Valley Health, Bendigo Health and Latrobe Regional Hospital. CTA will work closely with all sites to establish the VRCCTN and support them in building capacity to attract and participate in high quality cancer clinical trials. The ultimate aim of the VRCCTN is to improve access to new cancer therapies for regional patients.

This project will commence in April 2017 and is scheduled for completion in April 2020.
